General Cleaning Instructions (for piercings outside the mouth)
-
Use antiseptic soap or facial cleansing soap.
-
Additionally, purchase saline spray from the studio or pharmacy.
-
During the shower, use half a drop of soap and gently clean the jewelry with your fingers — without moving it.
-
Gently spread the soap around the piercing, wait about 30 seconds, then rinse with warm running water.
-
After the shower, spray saline solution on the jewelry and on a clean cotton swab, and remove any residue stuck to the jewelry.
-
Be extra careful while washing or drying your face or the pierced area — pat dry only, using a clean towel.
-
Keep the saline spray with you at all times, and throughout the day spray both sides of the piercing whenever it feels itchy or tingly.
Treatment Duration
-
3 times a day for the first 4 weeks.
-
2 times a day for the following 3 weeks.
-
Once a day (with soap and saline) for one additional month.
Important - Follow the aftercare instructions carefully!
